Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluations

Neuropsychology is a branch of psychology that is dedicated to the study of brain-behavior relationships. Dr. Rothman offers comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations with children and adolescents. These in-depth evaluations look into many domains of functioning including cognition, language, visual thinking, attention and executive functioning (e.g., planning and organizational skills, sustained attention), learning and memory, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning. Testing is usually completed in 2-3 hour segments across 2-3 days. The tests consist of a combination of paper and pencil tasks, computer activities, puzzles, and other hands-on activities. No preparation is necessary by you or your child for the evaluation. Following the completion of testing, Dr. Rothman compiles all information (i.e., testing data, information from interviews, previous reports) and conducts a feedback session where results are shared. A final written report is then sent several weeks following that feedback session.
